Chef: Caryn Dugan, STL Veg Girl
Makes: 20-30 Bites
Prep Time: 15 min
Freeze Time: 3 hrs 15 min
Total Time: 3 hrs 30 min
INGREDIENTS
2-3 ripe large bananas
1 cup of dairy-free, dark chocolate morsels (I like these)
1 cup crushed almonds
DIRECTIONS
Slice the bananas into about 2" pieces, place them cut side down on either parchment or wax paper on a tray, and stick a toothpick in each one.
Put them in the freezer for a few hours to freeze.
Gently melt the chocolate in a double boiler (in the video I show you how to concoct this on your own).
Remove the frozen banana bites from the freezer and dunk them in the chocolate.
Finally, roll them in the crushed almonds.
Place them back in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Remove and devour!
