T. Colin Campbell presents Defining Nutrition As a Fundamental Science

Public nutrition information is enormously confusing for most people because it relies on individual nutrients and related analogs, with each chemical mostly acting independently. This shortchanges the ability of nutrition, as provided by food, to prevent and effectively treat diseases that account for most deaths. The public message having the most impact should be simple yet sufficiently expansive and variable to permit people of all nationalities, ethnicities and walks of life to adopt.
