Who is Eat Plants Love?
Shari embarked on this plant based journey after her husband Doug had a widowmaker heart attack at age 49 in 2008. She sought out as much information as possible on the effects of a plant-based diet. Shari earned her certificate with eCornell in Plant Based Nutrition in 2014 and became a certified CHIP (Complete Health Improvement Program) facilitator in 2017. Shari and Doug continue to learn as much as they can about the effect whole plant foods can have on health. Shari created the Facebook group - Eat Plants Love - to help as many people as she could. What began as an attempt to save her husband’s life, has grown to over 5000 members.

Some recipes follow Plant Perfect (PP) guidelines and contain 100% whole grain, plant-based foods with no added oil, nuts, seeds, avocado or coconut, and minimal salt and sweeteners. No more than 10% of the total calories in these recipes come from fat.
Some recipes follow Plant Strong (PS) ® guidelines and contain 100% whole grain, plant-based foods with no added oil as well but differ by allowing additional whole food ingredients, such as nuts and seeds which have naturally occurring fats, and with no more than 25% of the total calories from fat.
